Bor County Wrestling Association Directed to Halt State to State Competitions by County Order No. 001/2024

In a groundbreaking development, the Bor County Wrestling Association has been instructed to cease its involvement in State to State wrestling competitions following the issuance of County Order No. 001/2024 by Hon. Commissioner of Bor County, James Gai Makor Leek.

The directive, enacted under the authority granted by the Local Government Act of 2009, mandates the Bor County Wrestling Association to refrain from participating in State to State wrestling contests organized by the South Sudan Wrestling Federation. This order is scheduled to come into force immediately upon the Commissioner’s endorsement.

Among the key resolutions specified in the order are:

– Suspension of Bor County Wrestling Association’s engagement in State to State Wrestling Competition until the establishment of Jonglei Wrestling Association.

– Appointment of Bor County representatives to facilitate the formation of Jonglei Wrestling Association.
