In a robust response to illegal land activities, Juba County Commissioner Hon. Emmanuel Tete Ezbon has taken significant action against individuals involved in land grabbing within the Kabu residential area. This assertion follows a startling discovery of unauthorized land demarcation connected to a purported venture named “Jadallah International Market.”

During a media briefing on Thursday, Commissioner Ezbon revealed that the illegal activities came to light when officials noticed a signpost at Seventh Day Roundabout, misleadingly suggesting the presence of the Jadallah International Market. Upon investigation, it was confirmed with higher authorities that no such market exists, leading to the identification of the individuals as culprits involved in land theft.

“The residents of Juba County must refrain from acquiring land through unscrupulous means and should instead adhere to the legal protocols for land acquisition,” Hon. Tete emphasized. He clarified that the governor is not implicated in these unlawful actions, as he is currently engaged in an official mission in Central Equatoria State.

The Commissioner assured the public that those behind the fraudulent Jadallah International Market have been apprehended. Reports revealed that not only had the suspects unlawfully demarcated land, but they had also demolished existing houses on the property. Additionally, they were discovered in possession of forged documents featuring the Juba County logo, raising serious questions regarding the extent of their deception.

Hon. Emmanuel urged citizens to pursue legal avenues for land acquisition, stressing the crucial importance of adhering to established procedures. His decisive actions serve as a warning to potential land grabbers and a reminder to the community about the necessity of safeguarding public and private property rights.
