Central Equatoria State Teachers Advocate for Professional Union in Meeting with Governor Jadalla
In a significant development for the educational sector in Central Equatoria State, teachers from the region recently met with H.E. Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani, the Governor, to discuss pressing concerns and advocate for the formation of a teachers’ professional union.
During the meeting held on Monday, Governor Jadalla engaged with a committee of teachers to address various issues affecting educators in the state. Emmanuel Ladu Stephen, the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee representing the teachers, emphasized the importance of forming a union to streamline discussions and actions related to teacher welfare and professional development.
