Governor Rin Tueny Mabor makes a visit to Tiap-Tiap and Pagor Payams to assess local challenges and needs
Gen. Rin Tueny Mabor recently visited the Tiap-Tiap and Pagor Payams to gain firsthand insight into the challenges facing these communities. The governor, accompanied by a delegation, was warmly welcomed by the residents of Tiap-Tiap and Pagor, who took the opportunity to highlight pressing issues affecting their daily lives.
Key concerns raised by the communities included the lack of essential infrastructure such as roads, schools, healthcare facilities, clean drinking water, and network connectivity. Additionally, they emphasized the urgent need for additional payams, citing the burgeoning population that has outgrown the current administrative setup.
In a noteworthy plea, the community of Tiap-Tiap called for a peace conference between Lakes State and Warrap State, with a special focus on resolving conflicts in specific areas such as Jalwa and Panyar.
Governor Mabor acknowledged these concerns and assured the residents of his commitment to enhancing security in conflict-affected areas, evidenced by the deployment of SSPDF forces.
He also urged those displaced by conflict to return to their homes, emphasizing the government’s efforts to restore stability.
Furthermore, Governor Mabor emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence among the communities of Tiap-Tiap and Pagor Payams and urged them to refrain from internal and external conflicts. Notably, he issued a directive for all soldiers from the SSPDF and police who had integrated into the local communities to report to Division 12 (Shark) and Police Headquarters for reorganization.
Governor Rin’s visit served as a platform for fostering dialogue and understanding between the government and the residents of Tiap-Tiap and Pagor Payams, signaling a proactive approach toward addressing the challenges faced by these communities.
