The Central Equatoria state Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Investment has fervently denounced an audio statement attributed to former press secretary Derick Derickson, alleging a phone conversation with Hon. Viana Kakuli Aggrey, the State Minister of Finance. The purported call focused on the 100-day achievements of Governor H.E. Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani’s administration, succeeding H.E. Emmanuel Adil Anthony Wani.
During a press conference held on Tuesday, Victor Khamis, the press secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Investment, refuted the claims made by Derickson, affirming that Hon. Viana Kakuli Aggrey had not engaged in any such conversation with him, as asserted. Khamis adamantly stated, “All allegations made in the audio content were fabricated falsehoods aimed at garnering fleeting political advantage.” He challenged Derickson to provide evidence of the alleged phone call to the public.
Highlighting the administration’s dedication to financial reforms, Khamis emphasized the proactive measures being undertaken under the leadership of Governor H.E. Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani. He reassured the public that the State Revenue Authority is effectively mobilizing and remitting resources to the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Investment for appropriate disbursement, guided by Governor Wani’s directives.
The Ministry’s firm denouncement of the misleading claims underscores its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the advancement of sound financial practices within Central Equatoria state.
