Newly Appointed Commissioner in WES Nzara County Pledges to Uphold Peace and Security

In a promising development for the community of Nzara county in Western Equatoria State, the newly appointed commissioner has made a commitment to prioritize peace and security in the region. The appointment came following the scouting of Hon. Lino Kuku by the Governor of the state, LT Gen. Alfred Futuyo Karaba, as he takes over from Hon. Zizi Richard.

Hon. Lino Kuku, who was appointed by the President of South Sudan, H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit, expressed his dedication to protecting the civilians and properties of the people of Nzara county. “As the newly appointed commissioner, I am promising my people that all civilians and their properties should be protected and respected,” Lino stated.

During his inaugural rally, Lino emphasized the importance of unity and harmony among different parties in the community to prevent segregation, tribalism, and hatred. He assured the residents that maintaining peace and security would be his top priority.

In line with the directives of Governor LT Gen Alfred Futuyo Karaba, the new commissioner has been tasked with focusing on agriculture as a key area of development, followed by improvements in the education sector. This multi-faceted approach aims to enhance the overall well-being and prosperity of Nzara county.

The welcoming ceremony for Commissioner Lino Kuku drew a significant crowd, with hundreds of people gathering to show their support and enthusiasm for the new leadership. The optimistic atmosphere at the event reflected the hopes and expectations of the community for a peaceful and prosperous future under Commissioner Lino’s leadership.
