South Sudan Activist Urge President Kiir to Investigate Disappearance of Fellow Youth Activists
Bol Deng Bol, the Executive Director of INTREPID South Sudan, is making a heartfelt appeal to President Salva Kiir Mayardit of South Sudan regarding the disappearance and detention of Youth Activist Biar Ajak Marol and his four colleagues.
In a powerful statement, Bol urged President Kiir to intervene and ensure that the security organs responsible for the disappearance of Biar Ajak Marol and his colleagues either release them unconditionally or present them in a competent court of law. It has been over two months since their detention, leaving their families devastated and in despair.
Bol expressed deep concern for the welfare of Biar Ajak Marol’s family, who have been enduring the pain of his disappearance for over five months. He raised suspicions of the involvement of several security agencies in the case, including the Inspector General of Police, National Security Service, Military Intelligence, and the Tiger Division (Giada).
The prolonged ordeal of Biar Ajak Marol and his colleagues has caused immense distress, and Bol is calling on President Kiir to take immediate action to bring an end to their suffering.
The families of the missing young men are desperately hoping for their safe return, and Bol believes that the president’s intervention is crucial in reuniting them with their loved ones.
As the search for answers continues, Bol’s appeal emphasizes the need for justice and accountability in this troubling case.
The people of South Sudan are looking to President Salva Kiir to uphold the rule of law and ensure the protection of all citizens, including Biar Ajak Marol and his colleagues.
