SSFA Conducts Stewardship Training Ahead of Juba National Stadium Grand Opening and FIFA World Cup Qualifier

In preparation for the grand opening of the Juba National Stadium and the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers Group B match against Sudan, the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) conducted a Stewardship training which concluded successfully today in Juba.
Addressing the stewards at the closing of the training, SSFA President Gen. Augustino Madout emphasized the crucial role of stewards in ensuring security and safety during football matches, stressing that their presence is key to preventing chaos. He congratulated the stewards on completing the training and urged them to carry out their responsibilities diligently for a successful event.
SSFA Secretary General, Mr. Victor Lawrence, praised the trainees for their commitment during the two-day training and encouraged them to apply their newly acquired knowledge on the pitch during the upcoming match. He highlighted the importance of stewardship not only for themselves but also for the safety of players and fans, urging them to take their roles seriously both on and off the field.
FIFA & CAF Safety and Security Officer, Mr. Dixson Okello, who led the training, commended the enthusiasm and skill displayed by the stewards throughout the training sessions. He expressed confidence in the stewards’ ability to implement what they have learned, advising them to follow instructions and work together as a team for a successful event.
With the successful conclusion of the Stewardship training, SSFA is poised to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees at the grand opening of Juba National Stadium and the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers Group B match against Sudan.
