Yei River County Celebrates Success of Primary School Examinations
In an exciting development, Yei River county of Central Equatoria state has announced the results of the Primary examinations (CPE) for the Academic year 2023. A total of 1358 candidates took the exam, including 595 girls and 763 boys.
Of the girls who sat for the exam, 461 successfully passed, achieving a pass rate of 77.5%. For the boys, 620 passed the exam, resulting in an impressive pass rate of 81.2%. This success highlights the hard work and dedication of both students and teachers in Yei River county.
Juan Margaret Lomora, speaking on behalf of the education department, praised the security forces for their efforts in ensuring a fair and transparent examination process. She also commended the teachers for their commitment to providing a supportive learning environment for the pupils, despite facing numerous challenges.

Augustino Mawa, the head teacher of Kinzi primary school, acknowledged the hard work of teachers in preparing the students for the exams. He also highlighted the importance of addressing students’ fear of mathematics, stressing the need for a holistic approach to education that encompasses all areas of learning.
