Deputy Governor Dr. Kennedy Jets to Yambio After Special Invitation

This morning, on 29th March 2024, the Deputy Governor, who also serves as the chairperson of the SPLM party in Western Equatoria State, jetted off to Yambio after an absence of over a month. Dr. Kennedy Gaaniko revealed that they traveled as the SPLM leadership of Western Equatoria State to hold discussions with the SPLM leadership in Juba regarding the upcoming elections.
“After a productive meeting with President Salvar Kiir Mayardit, it is evident that we are fully in support of the forthcoming election,” emphasized Kennedy. He stressed that peace is essential for bringing stability and enabling leaders to effectively provide services to the people.
Kennedy highlighted, “The crucial message I wish to convey to the community here is that we require peace, unity, and stability in our nation to allow for agricultural activities, ensure children can attend school without fear, and maintain security in our state.”
Among those present during the briefing were the Secretary-General of the Western Equatoria State Government, Honorable Thomas Yanga, Honorable Severino Morris, Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement, alongside representatives from the organized forces, youth, women, and other dignitaries.
