Inauguration Day Set for Juba National Stadium: Unity and Excellence Take Center Stage

The High-Level Committee overseeing the inauguration of Juba National Stadium convened a press conference Tuesday to provide details on the upcoming momentous event.

Hon. Debora Akech, Undersecretary of the National Ministry of Youth and Sports and chair of the committee, emphasized the significance of the national stadium, stating, “It stands as a symbol of our nation’s football development and a beacon for unity and excellence.” She called on the public to support the inauguration both morally and materially, highlighting the stadium’s potential for hosting various events that bring communities together.

SSFA President, Gen. Augustino Madout Parek, underscored the importance of the national stadium for the men’s and women’s national football teams, expressing that it offers a unique opportunity for players to compete in front of their fellow citizens. He urged private sectors to join forces in supporting this historic occasion, stressing the role of collaboration in advancing football in the country.

Mr. Satimon Edward, Director General of the National Ministry of Youth and Sports, encouraged South Sudanese citizens to embrace peace and unity through sportsmanship. He appealed to football enthusiasts nationwide to work together in fostering the growth of football within the country.
