Governor Jadalla Receives State Security Report from Kajo-Keji, Vows to Uphold Peace and Unity

Juba – State Security Advisor Hon. Angelo Daya presented a comprehensive security report from Kajo-Keji County to H.E. Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani, the Governor of Central Equatoria State, in a pivotal meeting aimed at addressing existing challenges and fostering unity among stakeholders.

Following the briefing session, Hon. Daya highlighted key findings, emphasizing a crucial “gap” in coordinating security matters among various entities that had resulted in mistrust within the community. Despite these challenges, Hon. Daya reassured the public that the overall security situation in Kajo-Keji remains calm and peaceful.

The committee, comprising representatives from diverse sectors such as church leaders, youth groups, women organizations, chiefs, and security agencies, conducted extensive engagements to bridge existing gaps of mistrust and facilitate the safe return of refugees from neighboring countries, Hon. Daya affirmed.

Describing the recent visit to Kajo-Keji County as fruitful, Hon. Daya underscored the proactive measures undertaken to identify and address root causes of insecurity. He highlighted ongoing efforts to mitigate these challenges and reaffirmed the Governor’s unwavering commitment to promoting peace and stability across the State.

In a resounding message of unity and reconciliation, Hon. Daya echoed the Government’s call for peaceful conflict resolution, emphasizing that grievances, particularly with holdout groups, should be resolved through dialogue and mutual understanding to allow citizens to resume their daily activities without fear or disruption.
