Governor of Central Equatoria State, Adil Anthony, has announced plans to beef up security measures ahead of the festive season

In an official press statement in Juba, Governor Adil stated, “We are taking proactive measures to ensure the safety and security of our citizens during the upcoming festive season. As we anticipate increased activities and gatherings, it is crucial for us to enhance our security presence to deter any potential threats.”

The move comes as the state prepares for various festivities and events to celebrate the holiday season. Governor Adil emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability during this time, stating, “It is imperative for us to maintain a peaceful environment for our people to enjoy the festivities without fear or concern for their safety.”

The governor’s announcement also comes in the wake of recent security concerns in the region, with incidents of violence and criminal activities reported. 

“We have observed an increase in security incidents in the recent weeks, and it is our responsibility to address these issues and provide a sense of security for our communities,” Governor Adil added.
