Bentiu Sports Club Appoints New Members to Board of Directors

Bentiu Sports Club, a registered football club under the Bentiu Local Football Association, has announced the appointment of new members to its Board of Directors. The decision was made during an extraordinary General Assembly held in Bentiu, Unity state, on December 27, 2023.

According to the club’s statement, the appointment of new members was necessary due to the lack of commitment from some existing members who were unable to fulfill their duties due to busy schedules. As a result, the club decided to appoint interim members until the upcoming General Assembly takes place.

The following individuals have been appointed to the Board of Directors:

Chelleny Petro Koang has been appointed as the acting secretary, replacing Away Bipai Chan who was unable to fulfill the administrative role.

Nyabol Tek has been assigned as the Deputy Finance Secretary.

Kulong Buom Chan has been appointed as the Club’s Media Coordinator, following the resolution of the Extraordinary General Assembly in October 2023.

In addition to the new appointments, the club’s president has also assigned coaches for both the men’s and women’s teams. Coach Joseph Deng Chol has been named the General Manager for both teams, while Coach Paul Gatbany Gai has been appointed as the Head Coach. Coach Tom Ruai Badeng will serve as the Assistant Coach, and Coach Jerry Malual Bol will be the Women’s Coach.

Bentiu Sports Club is currently participating in the First Division of the Local League this season and is currently in second place on the table standings, behind El Merikh FC Bentiu.
