Central Equatoria State Demolition Committee, JCC Demolishes Structures Illegally Erected in School Lands in Juba City
In a bold move to uphold the law and protect public school lands in Juba City, the Central Equatoria State Demolition Committee led by the State Security Advisor to the Governor, Hon. Angelo Daya, and the 1st Deputy Mayor for Finance and Administration of Juba City Council, H.W Mogga Franco Wani, have taken decisive action to demolish illegally erected structures.
Hon. Angelo Daya emphasized, “We cannot allow illegal occupants to encroach upon public school lands. It is our duty to ensure that these lands are preserved for educational purposes.”
The authorities have issued a stern warning to those occupying the school premises illegally, urging them to vacate the land immediately or face legal consequences. The committee has made it clear that they will not tolerate any further violations of the law.
“We urge citizens to abide by the law and refrain from taking matters into their own hands. The demolition of illegally erected structures will continue as we move into the second phase of our operation,” stated Hon. Mogga Franco Wani.
Joining the committee in this crucial exercise were State Minister of Roads and Bridges, Hon. Mawa A. Moses, Minister of Housing, Lands, and Public Utilities, Hon. Frederick Lako Raymond, and other security personnel.
The demolition exercise took place at Dar es Salaam Primary School, Juba 1 Boys, and Juba Girls School, marking a significant step towards reclaiming public school lands in Juba City.
