His Majesty, the King of Azande Kingdom, Atoroba Peni Rikito, hosted a significant partners meeting to announce a groundbreaking agricultural initiative aimed at opening 100 Feddans across Yambio County, Nzara County, and Ibba County within the kingdom’s territories.

“I am appealing to UNFAO, ICT, World Vision, and UNHCR to extend their assistance to the kingdom by providing seeds, training facilities, and tractors,” expressed the King passionately as he shared his vision for agricultural development during the meeting.

In response to this call for support, Mr. Francis Mwana, Head of UNFAO Field Office in Western Equatoria State, vowed substantial aid by offering comprehensive training and a diverse selection of agricultural seeds tailored to meet the kingdom’s specific needs.

“I am promising the kingdom any type of vegetables that they would like to plant,” assured Mr. Mwana, emphasizing the commitment to supporting the Azande Kingdom on its agricultural journey.

The high-profile gathering, held in the Royal Palace and overseen by His Majesty, saw representatives from esteemed organizations such as UNFAO, UNHCR, Solidarity Riimenze, ICT, and Abayanki coming together to affirm their dedication to collaborating with the Azande Kingdom.

This unified effort underscores a shared commitment to fostering sustainable agriculture, enhancing food production capabilities, and ensuring the prosperity of the Azande people.
