His Royal Majesty, the King of Azande Kingdom, Atoroba Peni Rikito Gbudue, announced on Saturday, January 27, 2024, the Second Anniversary Celebration of the Azande Kingdom.

The celebration is expected to take place in the Royal Palace in Bazungua Payam on February 9, 2024, under the theme of peace, love, and unity.

“I am calling on all South Sudanese to come and attend the Second Anniversary Celebration of the Azande Kingdom,” said King Atoroba.

“On behalf of the Azande Kingdom and on my own behalf, I am inviting all our South Sudanese, our friends, family, partners, and government to come and join us for the upcoming anniversary celebration of the Azande Kingdom,” He added.

The King revealed that King Gbudue was arrested during the British Regime many years ago and was miraculously saved through the intervention of President Salvar Kiir Mayardit. With his help, the Azande Kingdom was restored.

“I call upon the government and all the 64 tribes in South Sudan to come and witness the restoration of the Azande Kingdom. I also invite other ethnic groups of South Sudan to come and celebrate with us,” declared King Atoroba.

The celebration is set to take place on February 9, 2024, at the new site in Bazungua, the new home of the Azande Kingdom.

Prince Marona Sako of Ibba County expressed his support for the Kingdom and urged all Azande people, both within the country and abroad, to come and support the Kingdom by providing the necessary items needed for the upcoming Anniversary Celebration.
