Legal Notice Issued for Balance Payment in South Sudan Music and Comedy Performance

In a statement from Jele Associates on behalf of Menimen of Coozos Clan and Simon Ajunga of Majuedit Comedy, it was revealed that there was a verbal agreement for their performances at the welcoming ceremony of former National Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Barnaba Baak Chol.

“We demand the payment of the said balance within 7 calendar days from the receipt of this legal notice,” said Advocate Daniel Jele Swaka Ladu, representing the artists. “Failure to comply will result in legal proceedings being initiated.”

The total consideration for their performances, including the hiring of a performance stage, sound system, and DJ, amounts to 12,100 USD. However, only a partial payment of 3,200 USD has been made so far, leading to this legal action.

The artists have reportedly made several attempts to follow up on the unpaid balance with the Director General for Finance over the past months without success.

This notice serves as a formal demand for the outstanding payment, emphasizing the artists’ rights and commitment to receiving fair compensation for their services rendered.
