MTN South Sudan Vows to Expand Telecommunication Services to Undeserved Areas Prior to 2024 Elections
In a recent meeting with the National Minister of Information, Communication Technology and Postal Services, Michael Makuei Lueth, MTN South Sudan’s Chief Executive Officer, Monzer Ali, reiterated the company’s dedication to enhancing telecommunication services in undeserved regions across the country. The discussion highlighted MTN’s strategic plans for providing quality services as South Sudan gears up for its first elections in December 2024.
During the meeting, Secretary General of the Universal Service and Access Fund, Mabe Emmanuel Michael, stressed the significance of collaboration between telecom operators and the Fund in implementing a comprehensive rural connectivity program in South Sudan. Emphasizing cooperation, MTN CEO Monzer Ali affirmed the company’s commitment to extending its services to these remote areas. He further assured full support for the Universal Service and Access Fund’s initiatives aimed at bridging the digital divide and connecting unconnected communities within South Sudan.
