South Sudan Football Association Clarifies Position on Interstates Peace Tournament and Bahr El Ghazal Counties League

In a recent press release signed by Victor Lawrence Lual, Secretary-General of the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), the organization clarified its stance on the ongoing preparations for the Interstates peace tournament and Bahr El Ghazal Counties League.

According to Lual, “SSFA is not involved in the ongoing preparations for the Interstates peace tournament and Bahr El Ghazal Counties League. SSFA has not communicated with or written to any Local Football Association to select or form their teams for these tournaments.”

He went on to emphasize that “SSFA has not corresponded with any state ministry of youth and sports regarding these competitions.” However, Lual assured that SSFA is willing to provide technical support to ensure the success of these tournaments at a suitable time that does not adversely affect any team.

In a meeting held yesterday, SSFA’s leadership engaged with the organizing bodies of these tournaments to clarify its position regarding its involvement in the ongoing activities of these groups.

The statement serves as a clear indication of SSFA’s role and intentions in relation to the Interstates peace tournament and Bahr El Ghazal Counties League.
