South Supreme Airline Owner Ayii Duang Ayii Defends Document Legitimacy Amid Controversy
In a recent press conference addressing media outlets, Ayii Duang Ayii, the prominent businessman and owner of South Supreme Airline, stood firm in defending the legitimacy of leaked documents and cheques amounting to millions of dollars that have sparked controversy in South Sudan.
During the press briefing, Ayii emphasized his rejection of circulating claims on social media linking the leaked documents to the removal of Hon. Malual Tap, the Former First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and Planning.
Ayii acknowledged that South Supreme Airline had indeed submitted a letter to the President of South Sudan, clarifying that the documents were grounded in legitimate claims by the airline against the government. He detailed that the company’s board of directors had earmarked a substantial sum to procure essential commodities such as food, petroleum products, medicine, and building materials to bolster the country’s economy.
“The allocated amount of 193,248,955.9 USD is designated for the purchase and transportation of these vital items. We have engaged in agreements with companies in Kenya for the supply of these goods, and the African Development Bank has approved the funding for this crucial project,” Ayii explained.
Asserting that the funds in question were integral to settling outstanding claims owed to South Supreme Airlines, Ayii sought to reassure the public of the company’s commitment to resolving these financial matters responsibly.
Expressing bewilderment at the individual responsible for leaking the documents, Ayii posed a poignant question, “We are asking the person who posted the documents: what were your intentions in making them public?”
As the controversy surrounding the leaked documents continues to unfold, Ayii Duang Ayii remains resolute in upholding the integrity and authenticity of South Supreme Airline’s transactions, underscoring the company’s dedication to supporting the nation’s economic stability and development efforts.
