The inaugural U-14 Championship is set to commence today, organized by the Yambio Local Football Association

This historic event for the 2023-2024 season was organized in response to a call from the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) to Local Football Associations across the Country.
A total of 14 teams will be participating in this year’s U-14 Championship under Yambio LFA. These teams have been divided into four groups: A, B, C, and D. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Quarter Finals.
In Group A, we have three teams: Korson Football Academy U-14, Wenepai Academy U-14, and Yambio Star U-14.
Group B consists of four teams:
St. Joseph Academy U-14, Red Scorpion U-14, Gbudue Academy U-14, and Super Star U-14.
Group C includes three teams:
Mukongo United U-14, Al-taharir U-14, and Al-weida U-14.
Group D comprises four teams:
Super Eagle U-14, St. Mary U-14, Yambio Academy U-14, and Nile City U-14.
The competition is set to begin Tuesday. In the morning with the Group A match between Korson U-14 and Wenepai U-14 at Yambio Freedom Square. The match will kick off at 7:30 am on January 3rd, 2024.
In the evening, Group B match between St. Joseph U-14 and Red Scorpion U-14, also at Yambio Freedom Square. This match will take place at 3:30 pm on the same day.
It’s an exciting time for Yambio as they embark on this new chapter in their football history.
