Nile Petroleum Corporation to Inaugurate State-of-the-Art Building in South Sudan

The Managing Director’s office has confirmed that the grand inauguration of Nile Petroleum Corporation’s new building is scheduled for Saturday, March 2nd, 2024. The impressive structure, boasting 12 floors including a basement and ground level, as well as 10 upper floors, features a cutting-edge combination of steel and concrete frame structure, with the 4th floor serving as the meeting point between the two materials. With a total of 240 offices, the building has been designed to accommodate approximately 1100 staff.

The ambitious project, which has taken nearly 8 years to complete, is set to be officially commissioned under the leadership of Managing Director Eng. Bernard Amour Makeny. Since assuming his role in January 2023, Makeny has overseen a transformation in the well-being of the Nile Petroleum Corporation’s staff, with notable initiatives such as a significant increase in the lowest salary from SSP 10,000 to $600.

Not only is this landmark building a significant achievement for the corporation, but it also holds historic importance as the first iconic structure of its kind in South Sudan. The inauguration is expected to mark a momentous occasion in the nation’s architectural and corporate history.
