Lawn Tennis School Outreach Program Unveiled in Juba By SSLTA and MTN South Sudan

South Sudan Lawn Tennis Association (SSLTA), in collaboration with MTN South Sudan, has officially launched a lawn tennis school outreach program in Juba.

The initiative aims to raise awareness about the sport of lawn tennis in the country, targeting young children in schools in the capital city.

During the launch event, Coach Hassim expressed gratitude for the efforts of the SSLTA board members in making this program a reality. The primary goal of the outreach program is to identify talented young players, train school teachers and coaches, organize junior tournaments in Juba, and implement an education program. This is all part of the larger plan to build a strong SSLTA National Team that can compete on an international level.

Denis Lejugbo, the Communication and Brand Manager at MTN South Sudan, emphasized the importance of investing in the youth as they are the future of the nation. Partnering with SSLTA to support the coaching clinics, referee workshops, and junior tournaments is a strategic move to develop a competitive league and nurture talent from a grassroots level.

MTN South Sudan views this partnership with SSLTA as part of their corporate social responsibility, extending their support to various sports organizations in the country.

Through initiatives like the lawn tennis school outreach program, MTN South Sudan aims to not only promote the sport but also create brand awareness and introduce new products such as MTN MoMo, a mobile money service that offers users a convenient way to handle financial transactions securely and efficiently.
