In a startling revelation, Koryom FC, a prominent football club in Bor embroiled in controversy as player contract discrepancies surface. The focus is on Cole, a key midfielder, with an expired contract but still listed as active.

The organizing committee of the South Sudan Football Association sheds light on the concerning situation, revealing the oversight in Cole’s contract status despite its expiration on December 1, 2023. A clear violation of league regulations has been identified.

“The evidence presented leaves no room for dispute. BOLFA’s involvement in this matter raises significant concerns about compliance with league regulations,” stated a representative from the organizing committee.

Efforts by BOLFA representatives to address the issue proved futile, with Cole subsequently being removed from the club squad for participating in the league without a valid contract, a breach of SSFA and international player transfer regulations.

The South Sudan Football Association faces the crucial task of addressing this violation. Upholding integrity in sports is paramount; therefore, strict disciplinary measures must be taken to maintain fair play among all clubs and players.

This incident at Koryom FC underscores the necessity of transparent record-keeping and adherence to contractual obligations within sports organizations. It serves as a reminder for clubs to prioritize precision in their management practices to avoid controversies in the future.

As the SSFA delves into the matter, cooperation from all parties involved becomes essential to uphold honesty and accountability in the realm of sports. Neglecting these principles could lead to severe repercussions for the organization and its standing within the football community.
