King of Azande Issues Ultimatum to Community Leaders to Address Rainmaker Influence
By Jackson Gaaniko
In a groundbreaking announcement on Tuesday morning, His Royal Majesty, the King of Azande Kingdom, Atoroba Peni Rikito Gbudue, issued a directive to community leaders to tackle the influence of rainmakers within the community.
“We should train our children to know how to hold hoes, how to cultivate, and to farm,” stated the King, emphasizing the importance of agricultural activities during the upcoming rainy season.
Highlighting the abundance of resources in the kingdom, the King reminded his people, “We have dollars, oil down here in the state in the kingdom, which is our traditional home.”
Furthermore, the King urged those without land for cultivation to seek assistance from Chiefs and headmen, stressing that land should be provided without any monetary exchange to ensure fair access to resources in the community.
In a stern warning, the King stated that any leader found soliciting money for land must face consequences and be reported to the authorities for appropriate action.
The King’s directive aims to encourage agricultural practices, foster equitable resource distribution, and address concerns regarding traditional practices within the Azande community.
Community leaders have been tasked to immediately take action to implement these directives and work towards a stronger and more prosperous future for the Azande Kingdom under the guidance of His Majesty.
