Minister of Interior Hails Security Forces for Ensuring Safe Christmas Celebrations

JUBA – In an expression of gratitude and praise, Hon. Angelina Jany Teny, Minister of Interior, commended the security forces for their tireless efforts in maintaining peace and security during the Christmas festivities.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Minister Teny extended her heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated men and women who worked diligently to ensure a safe and secure environment for all citizens to enjoy the holiday season.
“With the collaboration and steadfastness exemplified by our security forces, we were able to celebrate Christmas without any major incidents,” Minister Teny proclaimed. “Their hard work and dedication played a crucial role in fostering an atmosphere of joy and harmony throughout the nation.”
However, as the country eagerly awaits the advent of the New Year, Minister Teny voiced her concern reminding the public that celebratory gunfire is extremely dangerous and can result in serious injury or even death,” she cautioned. “I urge everyone to refrain from this reckless behavior and instead find safer ways to celebrate the New Year.”
Minister Teny also highlighted the importance of community involvement in maintaining security. She called on citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
“Security is a collective responsibility,” she stated. “We must all work together to ensure the safety and well-being of our communities.”
Minister Teny expressed her optimism for the future, stating that with the continued dedication of the security forces and the support of the public, South Sudan can look forward to a peaceful and prosperous year ahead. She urged everyone to remain united and committed to the goal of building a safe and secure nation.
The press conference was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Interior, as well as representatives from the various security forces.
